  • Sustainable Agriculture Development Program, Nepal (SADP-Nepal) is a non-profit Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Established in 2004, SADP is committed to improving the livelihood of resource-poor farmers through research, development, and the promotion of sustainable agricultural systems in the country.


    To achieve its objective SADP put major emphasis on its partnership and collaboration with farmers, farming communities, academia and other organizations at local, national, regional and international levels committed to working together for community empowerment, adaptive research, and the development of sustainable agriculture.

  • Community Living 

    A large aspect of volunteering & internship also includes the experience of community living in the Nepali context as you will become community members for the duration of their stay. SADP focus on this relationship in learning how to be mindful, conscious individuals living in community together. You will meet in weekly group check-ins to work on these relationships.


    Food & Lodging

    Traditional living in Nepal includes: A thin cotton mat, blanket, sheet, pillow, and mosquito net will be provided.

    Generally Nepali food will be served. SADP will try to use the most organic vegetables as possible from the farm.

    Bathing options include an indoor cool shower.

The Organization stands to improve the livelihood of Nepalese farmers with diverse agro-ecological, socio-economic, and cultural settings by offering a basic understanding of the development and promotion of a sustainable farming practices (Organic Agriculture), which ultimately creates an environmentally friendly society.

On top of this the organization is also committed to preserve and protect the culture of different ethnic groups in its project areas which are on their last legs of cultural survival.

Opportunities for meditation, local wine making, hiking, and Nepali food cooking are available depending on participants’ interest.
